Over the past three years, through fund-raising efforts the Society has been able to raise approximately $12000.00 CND after cost. In 2006, we raised $2000.00CND, which was directly donated to the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan through a pharmaceutical donation.
In 2007, a contribution of $3600.00 CND in the form of a pharmaceutical donation was made to the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan.
In 2008, the society expanded its programs to including the follow:
1. Continuous pharmaceutical donation to the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hopsital in Kabul Afghanistan.
2. Providing school supplies and shoes and clothing to two schools in the outskirts of Kabul, Afghanistan.
3. Providing five families with financial support to allow their children to attend school instead of performing child labor.

Neelam (Age 7) was born in the province of Parwan she lives with her father (shoe repairman), her mother and her younger brother. Her older brother was killed in the war. She is currently enrolled in grade 2 at the #16 school in Khair-khana, Kabul.
Manija (Age 7) lives in the outskirt of Kabul, in the village of Dolwana with her mother and has three younger siblings. Manija’s mother is also one of the 2 million widows of Afghanistan with a burden of raising her children without a permanent job. Through your donations, Manija’s family is provided with a minimum monthly income that allows Manija to go to school instead of doing child labor to help the family.
Rabia (Age 16) lives in Kabul with her family. Her father was killed in the Russian-Afghan war. Decades ago her family was considered a middle class family. However, they are now dependent on any type of financial assistance they can receive. Rabia’s three older sisters are highly intelligent girls, but cannot afford proper attires to attend university.
Rabia is currently enrolled in grade 12. Shas demonstrated her intelligence and has managed to achieve outstanding scores in all her subjects at school. She currently ranks top 2 student in her class.We hope to support her to go to university.
Sakeena (Age 7) lives in Kabul with her family. She has 4 other siblings. Her mother works as a house-cleaner and her father who was injured during the war also works as a cleaner. The family often rely on food donation from their neighbors.
Sakeena is currently enrolled in grade 2 and ranks first in her class. Thanks to your donations, Sakeena can now attend school and is going to have a successful career and a bright future.
Hakim(Age 15) Lives in the outskirts of Kabul, in the village of Dowlana. His father is old and no longer able to provide sufficient income for his family. Through your donations, Hakim’s family no longer require him to do child labor and he is now enrolled in school with outstanding performance. Hakim is in grade 8. If your donations continue, he will be able to continue his education, fulfill his goals and dreams and contribute positively to the future of Afghanistan.
